Support to the development of female entrepreneurship

Today Draginja Đurić, President of the Executive Board of Banca Intesa and Goran Vasić, Director of the Guarantee Fund of the autonomous region Vojvodina signed in Novi Sad an Agreement on long-term financing of start-up projects of unemployed women and projects of the purchase of equipment of women – entrepreneurs at the territory of autonomous region Vojvodina. The formal signing was attended by Mr. Bojan Pajtić, President of the Executive Council of Vojvodina, the representatives of the European Agency for reconstruction, the Regional Agency for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises, the Educational Centre from Zrenjanin and the Academy of female entrepreneurship from Kikinda.
Being mutually directed towards the development of entrepreneurship, Banca Intesa and the Guarantee Fund of the autonomous region Vojvodina started the first project of this type in the country which will enable unemployed women or women-entrepreneurs with the length of service up to three years to finance the launching and development of their own business on very favourable conditions.
Banca Intesa pays particular attention to the small business segment, develops and improves actively the offer intended for entrepreneurs and thanks to the cooperation with the Guarantee fund of the autonomous region Vojvodina, has the opportunity to offer the financing of start-up projects, which up to now was mostly the stumbling block for those who had a good business idea but not enough funds to realize this idea, said Draginja Đurić, President of the EB of Banca Intesa, on those occation and added that by signing this agreement Banca Intesa once again demonstrated its determination to be present in the development of the economy in Vojvodina on long terms.
The bank shall approve long term loans with the tenor up to 5 years within the provided credit line in the amount of 50 million dinar. Thanks to the support of the Guarantee fund of Vojvodina which provides adequate protection against risk with its guarantee potential, these loans shall be approved on much more favourable conditions compared to the market conditions, at the annual interest rate of 6,95%, by applying the FX clause. For the beginning, projects on the territory of Banat shall be financed where the problem of unemployed female population is a little bit more expressed.
