Evening with friends

On the first snowy day of winter Banca Intesa Beograd organized a Winter Party in order to celebrate the first year of successful business operations within the largest Italian banking group Intesa.

On this occasion Draginja Đurić, President of the Executive Board of Banca Intesa, thanked all business partners and friends who contributed to the success of this Bank which has become one of the leading banks in Serbia, and reminded that, except for exceptional business results, leaders distinguish themselves because they are always one step ahead, and Banca Intesa was a leader in introducing new services during 2006.

The preliminary data on business operations’ results in the first 11 months of the current year confirmed that Banca Intesa has always been a reliable bank. With a balance amount of 1,5 billion euros Banca Intesa is the second largest bank in Serbia. In the first 11 months market placements have increased for 30 and retail placements for 50 percent. A balance amount has increased for 55 percent, which represents, in the conditions of an increasing competition, a very respectable growth. This year was marked by a dynamic growth of citizens’ savings of 50 percent, thus at the end of November a total amount of citizens’ savings with Banca Intesa was over 410 million euros.

With an ambition to become a leading bank in retail operations by 2008, Banca Intesa will tend to make the most of its potential in offering a wide range of banking products, by relying on the high quality of services, professional team and developed business network, which consists of 160 branches in over 100 towns, as well as on a strong support of the parent banking group – Intesa Sanpaolo.

A possible decline of interest rates is expected in the following year, disregarding a restrictive monetary policy and unchanged governmental credit rating.
