EMEA Finance award for Banca Intesa

Banca Intesa has received financial magazine EMEA Finance’s award for the best bank in Serbia in 2012 in the category of banks operating as part of international banking groups. Along with the award for Serbia, Intesa Sanpaolo, the parent group of Banca Intesa, also won recognitions for the best bank in Italy and the Slovak Republic.

“This award confirms the validity of Banca Intesa’s decision to base its strategy on the principles of efficient risk management and rationalization of operations in conditions of an unpredictable macroeconomic environment and complex business climate. Client satisfaction remained our absolute priority, which we demonstrated through maximum professionalism and a high innovation level, as well as through constant improvement of our product and service portfolio. Looking ahead, we will continue to meet the needs of businesses and citizens on the road to economic recovery, while maintaining our market position and a trend of stable and successful operations,” said Marco Capellini, Deputy Chairman of Banca Intesa Executive Board, who received the award on behalf of the bank at a ceremony in Vienna.

Europe Banking Award winners have been selected based on EMEA Finance editorial team’s judgment of how individual banks fared within the context of their countries’ economic development and banking sector performance. Key criteria for deciding which institutions deserve recognition were sustainable growth and commitment to the customer base.
