Banca Intesa visits hurt policeman

Thanks to the timely response of a member of the Ministry of Interior of Serbia, the robbers of the Banca Intesa branch in 137b, Braće Jerković Street, have been promptly arrested. Banca Intesa regrets to say that the during the arrest shots had to be fired.

The hurt policeman, currently recovering at the Emergency Centre, Clinical Center of Serbia, has been visited today by the representatives of Banca Intesa, who on behalf of the Bank, wished him to get well soon and return to his family and home, promising the maximum support as to recover in the shortest possible time. In appreciation of their efforts, demonstrated courage and responsiveness, Banca Intesa will award members of the police squad who directly took part in the intervention.
’’The Bank will continue cooperation on the Project for improving the technical cooperation with the Ministry of Interior aimed at more efficient corporation and faster interaction between business banks and the Ministry, for the purpose of improving the general security level in the country. We believe that our joint activities will lead to preventing such situations happen in future”, said Ms. Draginja Đurić, President of the Executive Board of Banca Intesa, on the occasion of visiting the hurt policeman.

The robbery has taken place this morning at around 09:20 when 2 armed attackers intruded the branch. Having been notified by the branch employees, the police reacted quickly and arrived on the scene. The Bank employees cooperated with the Ministry of Interior representatives, in line with the envisaged rules, providing them with all relevant information, as well as the Bank’s security camera records.
