Intesa Sanpaolo among the 50 Safest Banks

Intesa Sanpaolo is among the world’s 50 safest banks according to the lists compiled by the well known financial magazine- Global Finance. The analysts of this magazine point out that the debt crisis in Europe and the renewed uncertainty regarding the economic future have put the safety of banks in the spotlight. The world’s 50 safest banks list for 2010 has been compiled on the basis of a comparison of long term loan ratings and total assets, with 500 world’s largest banks competing. Apart from this, the ratings data from Moody's, Standard & Poor's and Fitch have also been taken into account, as well as the comparative analysis of long term credit ratings.

Global Finance has published its world’s safest banks list for 19 years already and this ranking is considered to be a reliable credit standard for the entire financial world.

"Banks that have strengthened their liquidity, as well as the quality and quantity of their capital are on this list”, Global Finance magazine publisher, Joseph D. Giarraputo said. This exclusive survey will be published in the October issue of the Global Finance magazine.
