The Gala evening with friends in the National Theater
Banca Intesa, as a friend of the National Theater, gifted its friends the gala evening with the preview of the play ‘’Ph. D.’’ directed by famous Jagoš Marković, and involving a brilliant cast led by exceptional Predrag Ejdus, Radmila Živković and Seka Sabljić. After more than half of the century, the cult performance of a great Serbian comedist Branislav Nušić has been again played on the Main stage of the National Theater and many public persons and media representatives were present on the occasion.
At the cocktail hosted after the performance, Mr. Božidrar Đurović, Assistant of the General Manager of the National Theater greeted the audience and thanked Banca Intesa for the support it has been offering to our oldest theater institution. Ms. Draginja Đurić, the President of the Executive Board of Banca Intesa Beograd, expressed her gratitude to the National Theater for the exclusive performance of the play only for the friends of the Bank, stating her sincere belief that friendship and true belonging to the community is a capital equally worth as the banking one.
‘’Union of the creative potentials of the great Nušić, progressive Jagoš Marković and brilliant team of the National theater created a distinguished play, and therefore, I sincerely want to congratulate all participants, wishing the performance long life at the stage. The friendship with the National theater, although it last only two years, has become a part of our identity, a quality according to which, inter alia, others recognize us and thus, I believe that, like every true friendship, this one will last for many years, as well.’’ – stated Ms. Draginja Đurić.
