Banca Intesa Golf Tournament

Banca Intesa Beograd is pursuing the policy of the banking group it belongs to, which besides the devotion to successful business operations and maintaining the leading position at the market takes equal care of the social community and it works actively on creating and realizing the so called social responsibility programme. Besides that, the Bank participates actively in humanitarian activities, supports projects concerning the development of sport, culture, art, all activities referring to young people in the country and activities that popularize cherishing of real values and sound attitude towards life and sport. For this reason Banca Intesa Beograd shall be the general partner of the Golf Club Beograd for the season 2006/2007. Having in mind the fact that golf is one of the most popular sports in the world, but is still in the initial stage in our country, Banca Intesa Beograd wants to support its popularization with this partnership. As the golf season 2006 has already started, this year Banca Intesa Beograd, being the general partner of the Golf Club Beograd, has organized a large golf tournament – the Banca Intesa Golf Tournament for the first time. This tournament, as an event with an international license, represents our country in the best way and shall contribute to bringing the country closer to the sport flows worldwide. Daniele Massaro, the legend of AC Milan and of Italian football as well, and a passionate golf player attended the tournament together with the representatives of many embassies, large companies and of cultural and public life. The tournament was held on Sunday, June 25th 2006, at the golf courses on Ada Ciganlija; the meeting was at 8 o’clock and the tournament started at 9. This tournament gathered the most eminent golf players that competed in various categories and winner cups and awards were foreseen for each of them. As Banca Intesa Beograd recently started issuing the prestigious American Express credit cards, and having in mind that these cards accompany the golf pattern of life, the Bank envisaged the prizes for the “Hole in One” category (which implies that the ball has to be scored with one hit into the aimed hole) to be exactly the American Express Gold credit card with deposit. The final ceremony of proclaiming the winners with an appropriate cocktail was scheduled for 3 o’clock PM when the most successful golf players were awarded the cups.
