Banca Intesa launched the project The Place I Love in the middle of 2011 with the support of the Ministry of Culture and the aid of the non-profit organization Europa Nostra Srbija and the Republic Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage Monuments with the aim of creating a base of localities of special emotional value for the citizens of the Republic of Serbia, the restoration of at least three places or environmental areas that win the contest, and of reminding the wider public of the rich cultural heritage of the country, as well as the need of its preservation. The expert jury on the project chose ten finalists out of a total of 1,290 localities proposed by the citizens in the first phase of the project, and the citizens chose three winners- places that Banca Intesa will restore in 2012, as follows: the token of the National Library on Kosančićev Venac in Belgrade, Belgrad Gate on Petrovaradin Fortress and Ramparts of Novi Pazar. For this project Banca Intesa has recently won the annual award- Award of the Serbian Public Relations Association (DSOJ) for the communication of corporate social responsibility.
