Draginja Đurić - Deserving Citizen of Pančevo

In her speech, the mayor Vesna Martinović stated that Draginja Đurić started her successful banking career in Pаnčevo, adding that under her governance Banca Intesa also became recognizable for contributions to the development of the social community. The mayor pointed out that numerous donations by which aid was provided to students, artists and sportspersons, as well as programmes for the improvement of the quality of life in the local community initiated by Draginja Đurić demonstrate her readiness to help in solving existential problems and in preserving social values, emphasizing that by her outstanding business results but also her personal qualities Mrs. Đurić represents Pančevo in the best way possible in the country and abroad.

Draginja Đurić thanked everyone who has recognized her contribution to the development and advancement of the city of Pančevo, primarily to the mayor and the members of the city assembly and pointed out that Pančevo marked a big part of her professional, but also personal path, and therefore this award has special significance for her.

“I have spent the greatest part of my life in these surroundings, and their advanced economic environment shaped almost two decades of my professional development and provided the direction for my career today. By my professional and personal engagement I have endeavoured to be an active participant in the business and social life of this town and to give maximum contribution to its overall improvement”, Draginja Đurić stated and wished the town a lot of luck and success in its further endeavours to become even more advanced and prosperous in years ahead.
