Banca Intesa Beograd has become a member of UN Global Compact network
Banca Intesa Beograd became a member of the Serbian branch of Global Compact network, the biggest voluntary world initiative for promotion of socially responsible business led by the UN on the global level.
Global Compact represents a practical frame for exchange of experience and improving the business practice of the enterprises members of the initiative, which are dedicated to integration of basic and universally accepted principles in the area of protection of human and labour rights, environment protection and anti-corruption struggle. These principles rest on ten major principles of the UN and Banca Intesa already respects them and applies them in its business, in accordance with the policy and Ethical Codex of Intesa Sanpaolo Group to which it belongs.
Incidentally, Banca Intesa had the status of an associate member since the foundation of the network in Serbia in December 2007, based on which it participated with equal rights in the work of the network and forming and initial activities of the work groups for making the national strategy for the projects of social responsibility, financial education (that is corporate social responsibility in financial institutions) and social inclusion.
