Draginja Đurić wins “Laureate of Virtue“ award for 2016

The Mokra Gora School of Management has awarded Banca Intesa Executive Board President Draginja Đurić the “Laureate of Virtue“ award for 2016 for her contribution to female leadership in Serbia and the region.

The recognition, now in its seventh year, has been handed to Draginja Đurić as part of the Mokra Gora School of Management Vivaldi leadership forum entitled “Female leadership”.

The Mokra Gora School of Management, which is seeking to develop management and related knowledge and skills through its programmes, has established the Vivaldi leadership forums in a bid to recognize and award virtues of extraordinary business people who are engaged in creating new value.

Since 2005, Draginja Đurić has been leading the Executive Board of Banca Intesa, the leading bank in the Serbian market by all key performance indicators – total assets, loans and deposits.

Under her leadership Banca Intesa scooped numerous awards for bank of the year in Serbia granted by the most eminent international financial magazines, including The Banker, Euromoney and Global Finance.

Draginja Đurić has won a series of international and domestic recognitions. Renowned global financial institutions have declared her the bank of the year in Serbia for seven years, while she also took the “Banker of the Year“ award handed by the Club of business journalists of Serbia. Her contribution to the promotion and improvement of relations between Serbia and Italy brought her the Order of Merit of the Republic of Italy, while her support for the community was recognised by the order of Empress Milica – Venerable Eugenia of the Holy Synod of the Serbian Orthodox Church.
