Banca Intesa’s Corporate Division has been recognized for its outstanding commitment to advancing ESG principles and fostering the circular economy within the International Subsidiary Banks Division of its parent company Intesa Sanpaolo.

Giuseppe Ferraro, MBA, Head of Corporate, SME and Small Business at the International Banks Division, together with Alice Grittini, Head of ESG at Intesa Sanpaolo, presented awards to member banks whose projects delivered the greatest impact on the Group’s overall results.

Banca Intesa’s award-winning transactions, valued at EUR 20 million, include innovative financing models that support the green transition. These include the issuance of green bonds aimed at enhancing circular economy practices in the agricultural sector, as well as mini-bonds financing logistics projects focused on reducing carbon dioxide emissions and improving energy efficiency.

This marks the second time Banca Intesa’s business team has been honored for its exceptional contribution to the Group’s results. In 2024, the team was recognized for financing three domestic SME projects focused on building a biogas plant and a solar power facility.
