Banca Intesa and Peter H. Diamandis bring the topic of longevity to Serbia’s financial market
Banca Intesa, a member of the international banking group Intesa Sanpaolo, has placed the topic of longevity on the agenda of Serbia’s financial market through an exclusive event for clients and business partners, “We count in the long run”, whose special guest was Peter H. Diamandis, one of the world’s leading experts in longevity, exponential technologies and innovation.
A medical doctor, internationally recognised futurist, investor, bestselling author and founder of more than 28 companies, Peter H. Diamandis spoke about longevity as a shift that will profoundly affect the way people plan their health, careers, finances and life priorities. Emphasising that we are on the threshold of one of the greatest changes in human history – the transition from treating disease to preserving health, prevention and extending the period of vitality, he highlighted the importance of artificial intelligence, biotechnology, sensors, genomics and personalised medicine for early identification of risks and for making better decisions about health and the future.
As part of the “We count in the long run” event, a panel discussion was also held, moderated by Jelisaveta Lazarević, Chief Content Officer at Bloomberg Adria and professor at FEFA Faculty. The panel featured Keti Kasa, Master of Pharmacy, MSc Nutrigenomics and BioTech Longevity Expert; Marko Petrović, Health & Lifestyle Coach; Liuba Samotyeva, member of the Supervisory Board of Intesa Invest and investment funds expert; and Željko Petrović, member of the Executive Board and Head of the Retail Division at Banca Intesa, who discussed the role of financial institutions in supporting longevity, its impact on insurance and wealth management, as well as the importance of healthy habits and metabolic health for a high-quality and long life.
