Banca Intesa completes first SEPA transactions
Banca Intesa, a member of the international banking group Intesa Sanpaolo, has successfully launched the execution of payments and incoming transfers within the SEPA payment system, enabling individuals and businesses to make faster and more cost-efficient euro transactions to and from more than 40 countries within the SEPA area.
On the very first day of SEPA implementation, Banca Intesa completed over 700 transactions, confirming its readiness to provide clients with a stable and reliable service immediately upon the launch of the new international payment model.
With the introduction of SEPA payments, Banca Intesa clients achieve savings of up to 80% compared to standard international foreign-currency transfers, along with a higher level of transparency, predictable costs, and greater efficiency in transaction execution.
Thanks to one of the most competitive fees, Banca Intesa is positioning itself among the most competitive banks in the domestic market in the area of international euro payments via the SEPA system, reaffirming its commitment to improving payment services and applying modern European standards in the interest of its clients.
