Banca Intesa at the 10th EUF & FCI European Factoring Summit in Copenhagen
Banca Intesa, part of international banking group Intesa Sanpaolo, took part in the 10th EUF & FCI European Factoring Summit in Copenhagen on April 10 and 11 as a unique opportunity for industry leaders to address topics that really matter for the factoring industry and promote its impact in Europe.
Addressing a panel titled “Digital Evolution in Trade and Commercial Financing and What to Expect from the Future”, Petar Kasavica, Head of Factoring Unit at the Corporate Banking Product Department, presented the current digital solution of the bank whose high adaptability meets the specific technical requirements of some of the biggest and most demanding customers in the market.
“Constant improvement and use of advanced technologies enables us to provide highest technical performances for our clients. In line with the digital strategy of Intesa Sanpaolo group, we are building a leading strategy in a market, not only in banking in general, but also in the factoring segment. Digital factoring is another step in that direction - a modern digital tool that allows companies to access funds smoothly and quickly, without papers, without borrowing, unnecessary administration or waiting “, said Kasavica, adding that the Serbian factoring market is emerging with a very strong growth potential, with factoring turnover participating in GDP with only 2.6%.
FCI and EUF represent over 98 percent of all European market players. FCI, established in 1968, has close to 400 member companies in 90 countries. EUF comprises 15 national and one international industry associations that are active in the EU, representing over 200 factoring providers in Europe.
