Banca Intesa invests in Bexexpress bonds

As part of the Minibond Initiative of the Intesa Sanpaolo group, Banca Intesa, acting as agent and sole investor, successfully supported a bond issue by Bexexpress, one of the leading courier and logistics service providers in Serbia and the region. The transaction in an indexed amount of 1.17 billion dinars aims to finance projects that contribute to reducing carbon dioxide emissions and improving the company’s energy efficiency.

The funds raised through the bond issue will be directed towards replacing and expanding the vehicle fleet with electric vehicles, building in-house solar power and battery storage facilities, and developing alternative delivery models, primarily through expanding the network of automated parcel lockers and delivery centers. Through this strategic investment, Bexexpress enhances the energy efficiency and competitiveness of its services while increasing accessibility for customers across Serbia.

The transaction has been designated as green in accordance with the sustainability principles and criteria of the Intesa Sanpaolo group, reaffirming its strategic commitment to supporting projects that advance Serbia’s ecological transition.

“We are proud to support companies that actively invest in green transition and innovative solutions in this way as well. This transaction demonstrates that sustainability and profitability can go hand in hand, delivering tangible benefits for both society and the environment,” said Darko Popović, President of the Executive Board of Banca Intesa, adding that support for this issue of mini bonds represents another step in the bank’s strategy to promote sustainable development of the Serbian economy.
