A great evening spent with friends

Banca Intesa Beograd, the friend of the National Theatre, gave the pleasure to its friends to attend a gala debut performance of the Merry Wives of Windsor by William Shakespeare, directed by the famous Czech director Jirzi Mencl.

At the cocktail that was organized after the performance, Mr. Dejan Savić, the manager of our National Theatre, greeted the audience and stressed the importance of the partnership with Banca Intesa in the development of the National Theatre. Ms. Draginja Đurić, President of the Executive Board of Banca Intesa Beograd, expressed her gratitude to the National Theatre for the privilege of enabling the friends of Banca Intesa to be the first audience of Mr. Mencl’s artistic creation.

Motivated by the desire to support the institution of national importance and to spur the creativity and further development of the theatre art in the country and its capital, from this season Banca Intesa Beograd shall be the general sponsor of the National Theatre. The sponsorship was realized according to the model implemented in practise by the home group Intesa Sanpaolo that pays special attention to the development of theatre art, which among other things is confirmed by the long-year sponsorship of the world-known Teatro alla Scala in Milan.
