Within a joint project organized together with JP Putevi Srbije and Pexim Cardinfo, Banca Intesa enabled payment of pay toll on highway ramps in the country with payment cards. Thus, both local and foreign drivers do not need to have cash money on the main highway ramps in Serbia anymore. By introducing this innovation, praxis of pay toll collection was improved and harmonized with standards of developed countries. Considering that Banca Intesa is the only bank which issues and accepts payment cards of all biggest international brands, this program enables pay toll payment with the cards from the following programs: MasterCard and Maestro, Visa, American Express, as well as domestic Dina card. Users of all payment cards will have a possibility to pay a pay toll with payment cards no matter if the cards have been issued by domestic or foreign banks. Pay toll can be paid with business cards as well, and in order to speed up the process, users will not be obliged to sign a POS bill. This facility is currently available for divers on the main highway ramps in the country road network, and in the course of September it will be expended on the other parts of the highway, whereby more than 100 highway ramps will be included.
