SME support program for purchase of equipment

Banca Intesa and Intesa Leasing started the implementation of the Support Program for Small and Medium Enterprises for Purchase of Equipment in 2022, based on agreements signed with the Ministry of Economy of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Developmental Agency of Serbia.

Within the Program, which combines grants and favourable loans from commercial banks with financial leasing from leasing companies, businesses can apply for grants for purchasing production equipment, construction machinery, as well as machines and equipment for improving energy efficiency and environmental aspects of production, in order to strengthen competitiveness, improve production, operations and internalization and create new jobs.

The Program includes funds totalling EUR 26.1 million, of which the Ministry of Economy has provided RSD 1.9 billion (EUR 16.1 million), while a further 10 million euros were secured from pre-accession EU – IPA 19 funds.

The Ministry of Economy is co-financing procurement in the form of grants amounting to 25% of the net value of equipment being purchased, for amounts not lower than RSD 500,000 and not greater than RSD 5,000,000. Seventy percent of the amount shall be financed via commercial bank loans or financial leasing of leasing companies which are partners of the Program, and 5% will be covered by the business itself.

Banca Intesa and Intesa Leasing were chosen as partners for the Program at a public call of the Ministry of Economy, based on the offer and fulfilled tender requirements, alongside six banks and leasing companies participating in the implementation of the Program.
